Can someone please tell me exactly when the leaky roof on city hall became my problem? I've spent all afternoon calling roofers to see if anyone can come fix it. Which would be a resounding NO, in case you're wondering.

And ya know, it wouldn't bother me so much except, well, it's only been leaking (on and off) for about TWO YEARS. But this afternoon is when we decide that we've hit critical mass and it has to be! fixed! today! But could you find someone who can do an emergency repair who won't mind waiting to be paid? Cos we got no $$. *rolls eyes*

But, on the plus side of things: tomorrow is not only Friday but payday as well! I can sleep in on Saturday! I've written 1500 words this week, which is 1500 more than I've written at all recently(Thanks, Pip)! New Supernatural tonight!

Omg why do people do that? If it's been leaky for two years, it's clearly not a huge emergency, and it can wait one more week! SHEESH.

It's gonna have to, that's for sure. The people I called LAUGHED at me when I asked if they could come yesterday.

Needless to say, that's why yesterday was one of my 2 no-write days.

Someone of importance saw the leak for the first time and made a comment about it. That is why it is imperative to have it fixed now. Or maybe someone listened to the maintenance man who has probably told them that the entire roof is rotting and will fall in during the next big storm. Nah, that would make too much sense. It's probably the first option. That seems to be how most organizations work.
