I hope all you wonderful people had a lovely Easter if you celebrate it and a wonderful Sunday if you don't!

About five minutes after I woke up yesterday, I got stung by a wasp. Since the last time I got stung, I had a pretty bad reaction, I was a little worried. So I took two benadryl tablets and spent the rest of the day in a fog. In fact, I took a three hour nap, which I NEVER do on Sunday. But I just couldn't keep…my…eyes…open…zzzzz. Oh wait, I still can't. Benadryl just knocks me out for days when I have to take it. I can't complain because it works, but damn.

And OK, I have no other reason to post. Where the hell did all those things go that I thought I needed to post about?

So, tell me—is it starting to look like spring wherever you are? Or autumn for those of you in the southern hem? Daffodils are starting to come up here, a sure sign of spring. And the weather has been fairly mild, no really hot or really cold temps. What are your 'sure thing' signs of spring?

The myrtles and dogwoods are blossoming, and the oak trees are budding with new leaves. Some of the wisteria is starting to bloom, and the wildflowers are starting to come up. Spring has sprung!

Oh, I bet it's gorgeous down there now! And not too hot yet, right?

I saw your gardening post--good for you! I'm definitely gonna do the pomegranate in a pot thing. And I need to go fetch some trees to replace the ugly (OMF, FUGLY!) shrubs in my front yard. The ground is so soft, it'll be easy to get them planted.

In my family, we get all excited and start really calling it spring when we spot a robin back from warmer parts. I saw my first crocus yesterday, too. :) But peeking out the window I still see big nasty snowdrifts, we hates them precious.

*cuddles you*

Did you get hit with that big storm? The one that dumped on Chicago & Cleveland?

Robins, yeah, they should be showing up here anytime now.

Spring is probably my favorite time of year, when everything starts to come alive and it's still not too hot yet.

I don't know. When was that? We got about five inches on... Friday night? But none since then unless it happened while I was passed out asleep.

My mom called me the other day saying she'd heard a robin singing, but I don't know if we've actually seen one yet.

I'm with you on that. I just can't handle extreme temperatures. And I love the way spring smells.

Hmm. Some time this weekend. My mom mentioned it to me yesterday because we have relatives there and they got a ton of snow.

I don't like extreme hot or cold either. If it was spring-like weather warm enough for swimming year round, I'd be a happy girl!

That's a heck of a way to start the day.

We're at that time of year where spring is teasing, with an occasional lovely sunny day mixed within weeks of rain and clouds, until eventually the scale will tip in favor of the sun.

Yeah, it was kinda a bummer. And he was in my slipper, so now I'll have to obsessively check the toes of my shoes.

But doesn't it always rain where you are? :) At least that's the impression us east-coasters have . As I said to Ven, I love this time of year, when we start getting those little glimpses of green. And then all of a sudden, you wake up one day and everything seems like it came alive overnight.

It's very strange, but there are flowers and even mini leaves on the trees now, and I'm not used to seeing that this early in the spring! Of course, we've also had snow today - only the small, light flakes in the air type of snow, nothing that'll lay on the ground, but still. This month is a bit confused here in Glasgow:P

I'm sorry you're all drugged out now, but on the upside, it's Sunday, and even though you're not used to this, Sundays are really made for napping! :D Pretty much any day is really.

All days are good for napping, I agree.

Yeah, sounds like Glasgow is a bit confused there. What's spring generally like where you're from?

At this time of year, it's usually sort of cold and windy, and while a few types of flowers may poke their heads up, it's not much more than that, and only in warm, sheltered spots. If there's snow, it's starting to melt away into grey, dirty heaps, if there isn't there might be a few rounds of it coming, but not much, and not for long. It's clearly getting warmer, but not warm enough to swap the boots for anything but lighter, thinner boots, and you'd better keeps your scarf and mittens close! But the sunny days can be treacherously warm too, making you want to take your clothes off, which will only give a you a cold:/

OW on the wasp. I'm glad the benadryl works for you, though, since those stings can have pretty bad effects. My first day of university, just after my parents left, I was stung in the neck five times by a wasp stuck in the collar of my sweatshirt. That hurt like a sonofabitch. I'm very lucky I'm not allergic. :)

KIM I AM SO TIRED OF WINTER. There is still snow everywhere, nothing is coming up because the ground is still frozen, and it snowed again last night. ::weeps::

EEK WASP OMGWTF. Ugghhh. I think I would go beyond flipping shit if I got stung by a wasp. Wasps don't LIVE here this time of year! EESH. Poor thing. *pets you* ;___; Benadryl (even ONE) knocks me on my ass. x.x

I wish it was looking like Spring here! I live about 30 miles north of Erin, and we're still quite frigid here. The difference is, the sunlight no longer looks and feels like the dead of winter -- it feels warm. But there's not a lot of Spring here yet, except for the ground not being frozen. Hopefully soon!

Dude, my house is just creeping with wasps. I think they must be up in the rafters, because there are no visible nests anywhere and yet, wasps are fooking everywhere!

*sends Spring your way* I feel for you folks, up there in the great white North. It's cold enough here for me, I dinna know how y'all do it.

It's funny-it seems like no matter when Easter is (early or late) it always seems to snow here. We're usually shocked if it doesn't!

And we are if it does ;) Usually spring's coming our way fast this time of year. Even more weird when Christmas time was almost snow-less.

Inorite? WTF with the snow, Mother Nature?

It snowed here a bit on Saturday, but it's not really cold, so it pretty much melted. But still!

I don't want it to be hot, but I'm so over winter it isn't funny!
