Mar. 24th, 2008 02:18 pmI hope all you wonderful people had a lovely Easter if you celebrate it and a wonderful Sunday if you don't!
About five minutes after I woke up yesterday, I got stung by a wasp. Since the last time I got stung, I had a pretty bad reaction, I was a little worried. So I took two benadryl tablets and spent the rest of the day in a fog. In fact, I took a three hour nap, which I NEVER do on Sunday. But I just couldn't keep…my…eyes…open…zzzzz. Oh wait, I still can't. Benadryl just knocks me out for days when I have to take it. I can't complain because it works, but damn.
And OK, I have no other reason to post. Where the hell did all those things go that I thought I needed to post about?
So, tell me—is it starting to look like spring wherever you are? Or autumn for those of you in the southern hem? Daffodils are starting to come up here, a sure sign of spring. And the weather has been fairly mild, no really hot or really cold temps. What are your 'sure thing' signs of spring?

Date: 2008-03-24 06:48 pm (UTC)I saw your gardening post--good for you! I'm definitely gonna do the pomegranate in a pot thing. And I need to go fetch some trees to replace the ugly (OMF, FUGLY!) shrubs in my front yard. The ground is so soft, it'll be easy to get them planted.

Date: 2008-03-24 07:41 pm (UTC)Did you get hit with that big storm? The one that dumped on Chicago & Cleveland?
Robins, yeah, they should be showing up here anytime now.
Spring is probably my favorite time of year, when everything starts to come alive and it's still not too hot yet.

Date: 2008-03-24 07:49 pm (UTC)My mom called me the other day saying she'd heard a robin singing, but I don't know if we've actually seen one yet.
I'm with you on that. I just can't handle extreme temperatures. And I love the way spring smells.

Date: 2008-03-24 07:51 pm (UTC)I don't like extreme hot or cold either. If it was spring-like weather warm enough for swimming year round, I'd be a happy girl!

Date: 2008-03-24 07:44 pm (UTC)We're at that time of year where spring is teasing, with an occasional lovely sunny day mixed within weeks of rain and clouds, until eventually the scale will tip in favor of the sun.

Date: 2008-03-24 07:48 pm (UTC)But doesn't it always rain where you are? :) At least that's the impression us east-coasters have . As I said to Ven, I love this time of year, when we start getting those little glimpses of green. And then all of a sudden, you wake up one day and everything seems like it came alive overnight.

Date: 2008-03-24 07:57 pm (UTC)I'm sorry you're all drugged out now, but on the upside, it's Sunday, and even though you're not used to this, Sundays are really made for napping! :D
Pretty much any day is really.(no subject)
Date: 2008-03-24 08:02 pm (UTC)Yeah, sounds like Glasgow is a bit confused there. What's spring generally like where you're from?

Date: 2008-03-24 09:23 pm (UTC)KIM I AM SO TIRED OF WINTER. There is still snow everywhere, nothing is coming up because the ground is still frozen, and it snowed again last night. ::weeps::

Date: 2008-03-24 11:12 pm (UTC)I wish it was looking like Spring here! I live about 30 miles north of Erin, and we're still quite frigid here. The difference is, the sunlight no longer looks and feels like the dead of winter -- it feels warm. But there's not a lot of Spring here yet, except for the ground not being frozen. Hopefully soon!

Date: 2008-03-25 02:17 pm (UTC)It snowed here a bit on Saturday, but it's not really cold, so it pretty much melted. But still!
I don't want it to be hot, but I'm so over winter it isn't funny!
