OK, so Mother Nature, in her infinite wisdom decided to ruin the mini-moot that I had planned with Meg. *smites* A foot of snow? I mean seriously, a FOOT? Completely unfair.

Luckily, I heard the weather report before I even got in the shower so I checked my email to see if there was anything from Meg. Meg and I decided to postpone the mini-moot, but we will reschedule. Fangirls will NOT be thwarted!

So I just lazed around all day, doing absolutely nothing. And now I still don't have any motivation, so I think I'll just bundle up and watch tv. Because we got a little bit of snow here, but not a dang foot of it.

I've had rain all day...and now with added 50-60mph wind gusts!!

I've no motivation whatsoever all day. Did some crosstitching, laundry and watched Troy...cuz pretty boys in short skirts are always fun!

I'm glad you didn't go, at least not this weekend...cuz we know you're safe and sound...and hey, you're both determined, you WILL get together!

WOOT for fangirl determination!!

Have you started checking flights for Bonn yet?

Damn! That's a lot of snow! I'm so glad I live in Louisiana. Our winters aren't bad but hurricane season is...lol.

I'm stuck in the house with two hyper 6 year olds. Coconut is having company for tonight and they are driving me nuts!!!!

Yeah, if it snowed like that there, y'all would be thinking it was the apocalypse!

Ha ha, have fun with the six year olds!

You know - it did snow here once, in 1972. I was 2 years old and my mom had to put bread bags over my feet/pants like boots because we didn't own any. Still got the Super 8 film of that. We built a HUGE snowman...so much fun!

And not a flake since. ~g~

Yes, we had much with the wind here as well. Although it's hard for me to tell, because I live on the windiest hill on Earth.

I motivated myself enough to sew some quilt squares, so the evening wasn't a total loss.

I've looked at some flights, but haven't seen any good prices yet. It figures that flights to Frankfurt are on sale. *roll eyes* I was actuallly thinking it might be cheaper to fly to Frankfurt and then to Bonn from there, if direct flights to Bonn remain really high.

Trying looking at Cologne (code: CGN)...it's closer to Bonn, and sweetz tells me it's a shorter train ride to Bonn.

That's where I'm gonna fly into. It's a wee bit cheaper than Frankfurt...I'm looking at $641+/- at the moment.

Oh, I am sorry. I know you two had plans. I can't believe we have snow in WV! We haven't had much snow here at all. But a foot of snow? Meg must be completely snowed in about now. Glad you decided to play it safe. Spring is coming so maybe before long you can plan again. Nothing, not even snow, should spoil a good moot!

Yeah, she said the whole area is pretty much shut down and I guess this morning/last night they were actually arresting people who were out on the roads, they were that dangerous.

So yeah, I'm glad I didn't get halfway there and then get stuck or something. You might've had a surprise houseguest!

Spring is coming, so I'll get there to see her eventually.

I haven't had too much snow this winter, and nothing like a foot. We got about 2 inches today, but like I said above, it was more windy here than anything else.

the snow has finally stopped. and now the sun's out and melting everything off already. so it stuck around just long enough to fuck the weekend up. thanks ever so much for that, mother nature. you bitch.

i lazed around all day, too. dad and i ended up watching lotr all day. and after dom's pictures the other day... oh, my little monaboyd heart beats once again. i've spent most of the morning rereading my favorite fics. not a bad way to spend the day. no fangirl moot, of course, but not a terrible way.

Well, lazy days are bad, but on the other hand, when you've got something planned, and especially something like this... Yeah, that sucks major, sweaty sheep balls.

I saw her post too, and was all O.O about it, I don't think I've ever heard of people getting arrested for being on the roads.

Then again, with all the idiots being all "but I really needed milk, officer!" when they've slid straight off the road and into a ditch or a drive (if they're lucky) or actually caused bodily damage to themselves or -worse - other people because they were not smart enough to stay in in that kind of weather... Sorry, just had a few bad experiences with people like that today, it sticks with me:P
