OMG, the woman I work with is becoming a complete lunatic. She's on the phone right now, telling someone she "knows someone at the IRS and she'll call him to get so-and-so's contact information". WTF? I really hope the IRS isn's acting as the people-finder directory these days! Anyway, lately I think she's just gone 'round the bend a little bit. And oh lord, she is the loudest person on the planet, no lie. Please to be using our Inside Voice!

"Oh when the saints, go marchin' in, oh when the saints go marchin' in"

Sorry. Singing along with the Code Enforcement Officer's cell phone ring. I'm trying to transcribe, but there are two Okidata dot matrix printers running in here, so not so much with the being able to hear. I'd sell my left arm for less noise in this office, I'm tellin' ya.

In other news, I picked up my new iPod from the post office on Saturday. Whee! I can't wait to play with it ('tis a Christmas pressie and my mum has forbidden its use until then). I also managed to sign, address, and mail 117 Christmas cards. But I still have more to do. So if you want a card and haven't already given me your snail mail, please do so here!

No idea what IRS is, but I know that unless it's some sort of information centre, it shouldn't be used as it. Same for those idiots who call 911 and expect them to change lightbulbs or whatever.

Indoor Voice for the win! I hate loud people, especially when they are in places you are usually speaking in low voices or at least keeping it to a reasonable level. Like an office, or a library or classroom, or in a reception (hotel, shop, doctor's, any kind), or something like that. Not only do those voices cut glass with their shrillness, they often share information you neither need nor want to hear >.< Pain in the ass, like whoa.

Uhm, is your name Kim H? If it is, we have exchanged snail mail addies. If not, I'll mail you with mine, if you give me your e-mail addy for it.

Really 117 cards, or just feeling like it? I wrote, addressed and sealed (with awesome wax and seal, w00t!) 13 cards, and it felt 1300 by the time I was done:P

Yep, Kim H is me. And yes, you did give me your addy, so we're good there.

IRS is the Internal Revenue Service--the people we pay our taxes to. So no, they shouldn't be sharing anyone's info, ever. And yes, what is it with people contacting the wrong agency with their issue???? We had bad wind storms on Friday. All day long, people kept calling my office (city hall) asking when there power would be back on. How in the h should I know? I don't work for the power company! People are so silly.

Yes, 117 cards, for real. *sheepish* Sending (and receiving) cards is the only part of the holiday I really enjoy, so I usually end up going overboard. But I just love the whole month, when I get really GOOD snail mail every day. I don't know about there, but in the US, people often include pictures of their kids and sometimes a letter, updating you on what they've done over the last year. Those are kind of a big joke, because people call them "brag letters", because they usually only contain the good stuff. But I LOVE those. And I love getting pictures of my friend's kids or pets or whatnot. Yep, totally a geek!

Right, we're good then:)

o.O To the city hall for the power? That's a new one. You guys must be such powerful people! *bows to you*

I like writing crads, but I hold the long letter-y stuff for actual letters. People will get a card, and then if I want to write them a letter,I'll do that any other time of the year. And I propbably won't just brag either, because usually, with the good stuff, something less good pops up as well. Life is never just sunshine and flowers:P It's not something I do.

They are nice to get though, and seeing how kids and pets develop and look is always fun:)

Don't think I'll ever have as many card to write as you do though o.O

I think loud people are why ipods are so popular. You can go through life set to music with no distractions from people chatting at twice the normal volume.
