A belated giving of thanks
Nov. 24th, 2006 08:42 amThis has to be quite the funniest transmission I have ever heard over the police radio in my office:
"It does appear that several cows were out lollygagging through these people's yards."
And honestly? I don't know what's funnier, that someone called the sheriff because cows had been in their yard or the fact that the deputy used the word lollygagging.
In other news, yes, I suck and haven't posted in ages. I hope that the Americans on my f-list had a great Thanksgiving yesterday and didn't eat too much turkey. And just a little mini-list of things I am thankful for:
My family-because although I sometimes wonder if they know the 'real' me, I know that they love and support me, no matter what.
My health-so many people I know have serious health problems that it really brings it home to me that I've got it good.
My job-I love my job and the people I work with. I love that 'my' policemen depend on me to keep the administrative side of the department running smoothly so they can do their jobs.
My friends-I am so lucky to have the friends I have, both in person and on the internet. I don't make friends easily, so I hold tight to the ones I have. I'm especially glad to have found the P:B girls, who have welcomed me so wonderfully.
