I'm having a lovely time visiting with my college roommate and her two daughters for Memorial Day weekend.

They live in Savannah, GA so we went to the beach to day at Jekyll Island. It was lovely and not crowded at all! I did get a bit of sunburn, so I'll need to slather on the aloe gel before I go to bed. After, we got wonderful homemade ice cream. Tomorrow we are going into the city, as I've never been. The most I know about it is from Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil. But it's big on history, which I love, so it should be lots of fun.

I'm sure I'll be picspamming when I get home, so be prepared, f-list.

Let me know if I'm missing anything exciting, I don't want to hog her internet. I'll probably be skip=300 by the time I get home Tuesday.

Savannah is beautiful. I am really hoping for a teaching job there. Visit the lighthouse and Fort Pulaski on Tybee Island while you are there. Did you know Fort Pulaski was completed only weeks before the Civil War and despite a short takeover by the south, was the ONLY southern placed Fort to be held by the North through out the war????
