Ok, I've seen all of you talking about this, so I had to go have a look. And I just spent the better part of an hour just clicking on random things, checking them out. Brain overload! There's so many I'd like to smell. But really, I can't handle floral at all! So what would you ladies recommend I try that isn't floral?

Oh, and my obsession with Snape and Lupin has me half convinced to get imps of Severin and Wolfsbane for no other reason than their name association. I gotta get out more.

Hey! I made that icon! Whee!

I'm not a floral person at all either. I'm all about food scents. Jack (as I'm sure you know) is my favorite. Vice and Bliss are also favorites because they smell like chocolate. Alex loves Tintagel because it's citrusey. My mom loved the Snake Oil (vanilla based) but it smelled awful on me. But then body chemistry is so odd. I've read some reviews on the BPAL boards where Jack made some of the girls nauseous - and to me? Most orgasmic smell on the planet. It's pumpkin spices. So very me and so very yummy.

I'd suggest ordering a sample of 6 imps. [livejournal.com profile] ladymontgomery ordered 6 and they threw in 15 additional for free of different stuff, so she got to try all sorts of different things. There are so many choices there! I wish I could to go one of their shops and just sniff away.

I'm dying to try the Viscount de Valmont scent...I wonder if it's Alan-y scented? ~g~ Oh, and there a comm here on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] alchemylab so you can get a lot of feedback there. They were super nice when I posted about loving Jack and what other Jack lovers liked.

Oooh, if Jack is pumpkin spice, I'll have to add it to my list. I LOVE that scent. And vanilla never smells right on me either. It smells so good in the bottle and then I spray it on and immediately it's "oh my, NO".

Yeah, I think I will go with the six imps to start. I wonder if it's Alan-y scented? Snork. Can you imagine if they had Alan Rickman Scent? They'd never be able to keep it in stock!

I have Wolfsbane, but can't remember how it smells. I give it a sniff tonight and let you know. I don't recall it being floral, though. Hmmm, I don't remember the Severin. Must order that one.

It says Wolfsbane is "pine-y". I don't know that smelling like a Christmas tree is what I'm really after. Then again, the man I'm interested in likes to hunt--maybe pine would be a good idea???

The BPAL selection is kind of overwhelming, isn't it? ;) I had to jot down things that interested me as I browsed, so I won't forget anything. I am still weeding out smells that doesn't suit me as I go along (I just got my first order from them last Christmas), but from my batch of samples the one I like best is Morocco. It's a warm, musky smell, not too heavily scented. Heavy scents tend to give me a headache.

When you do place your order let us know what you got! *grin*
