Weirdest!Dream!Ever!

celtprincess13I had the most bizarre dream and I just have to share, because it was kinda neat in a way.
I was at this huge amusement park and the first part of the dream was the whole standing in a long line type thing. And I was there with a whole group of people, some I knew, some I didn't. Then there was a patriotic salute. So we finally get to the ride and it's really crowded. We have to take an elevator down to the ride itself. As we're riding down, the ride operator is explaining that this is a virtual reality ride. So I start worrying about it and telling my friends that I hate this kind of stuff.
When the elevator door opens, it's zero gravity, so we start floating up to the ceiling. When we get to the ceiling, we have to push against it to get down to the floor. At that point, we need to watch a short film clip of this party. The party is vintage 1940's, and apparently in Nazi Germany. We have to watch the film so we know what to do in the game. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention to the movie 'cause I'm still worrying about the game. All of a sudden, we're in the game and we have to choose a weapon. So I pick this big rifle-looking gun and follow my friends. And we go in all these different rooms that are all really cool looking, but there's bad guys and good guys lurking around all over the place.
Our goal seems to be that we shoot the bad guys before they shoot us. But see, I didn't watch the movie to know who the bad guys are. So I'm lost. Then I get separated from my friends and the whole time, I'm thinking "man, I hate this kind of game!" Then I pick the wrong person to shoot and they "kill" me. When you get killed, it takes you out of the game. So we're back in the room we started in, waiting for all our group to finish. And it turns out that you can play the game over and over and re-do the same scenario until you "win".
So even though I would in reality suck at that kind of thing, it really was kind of a neat premise. It was very elaborate and very "real" until you'd get "killed" at which point you wake up lying on the floor in this big room with all these other people "playing".
And lord knows where I came up with it. I'm not a gamer. My only excuse is that I had a stuffy nose and my sleep apnea mask wasn't helping a lot. But dang, if I could figure out how to do it, I'd probably make a million bucks!

Date: 2004-12-23 04:40 pm (UTC)I've never noticed any particular foods giving me dreams. Usually my dreaming (remembered dreaming, I mean) is triggered by mask problems. Sleep apnea=VIVID!dreams, because you wake up at the wrong spot in the sleep cycle, so they're easier to remember.

I'm out of my sleep meds, so that's why I didn't sleep well and had the freaky dreams. I'm soooooo ready for a nap. Alex got up really early this morning also, so maybe he'll want to nap around noon or 1pm. God, I hope so.
