My Weekend in Review
Jul. 9th, 2004 09:53 amI had a lovely long weekend since we had Monday off for Independence Day. Then I took Tuesday as a vacation day and went to the Longaberger Basket Factory with my friend Linda.
We had such a great time! We did the make-a basket, where you get to make your own, it was one of the most fun things I've ever done. It was just really neat, how the pieces go together and make the basket. Then we did the tea party (we had her granddaughters with us). That was really neat too. I've never had a "traditional" tea before. We had: Peach amaretto soup, lavendar scones with lemon curd and Devonshire cream (YUM!), tea sandwiches, and dessert. And of course, tea. We had a black tea blend that is their own mix, a green tea jasmine, and an orange spice blend. I LOVE tea. Can't wait to go to England and have "real" tea there.
I've been trading HP cards like mad over on
poatradingcards which is teh fun. So glad
kyri started it!
I'm going to Pittsburgh tonight to see my friend Becky. I guess a bunch of our friends from high school are in town, so she's having a little get-together. Should be fun.
